Will Crossrail cutters Elizabeth and Victoria be used elsewhere once their job is done?

A very interesting article. I seem to recall the lowering of the cutter head was featured on TV some few weeks ago.
What I would like to know is:
- Who specified the machine?
- Who designed it?
- Who built it?
I suspect it will cut a larger hole than the channel tunnels – still it’s a pity that those machines could not have been rescued and used elsewhere. Will Elizabeth and Victoria suffer the same fate?
