I am not an engineer but I find reading my husband's copy of PE more than interesting.
The article "Crowning Glory" about Prof. Julia King's achievements left me with such admiration that I wondered whether she received a whopping bonus each year like some of the bankers. My husband informs me that it would be highly unlikely in the professional engineering world.
It strikes me that something is wrong somewhere.
